Shirley May Manley (nee Tullock), of Saint Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the age of 80. Shirley was the loving wife of the late Donald Sutton Manley; beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Sophia Tullock; devoted mother of Cynthia (Kevin) Emberton; loving grandmother of David Darr and Daniel (Emily) North; treasured great-grandmother of Madison Darr and Peyton North; dear sister of Billie (Ed) Beine; and sister-in-law of Jay (Helen) Mann. Shirley spent her entire life in the St. Louis area and she and her husband raised their daughter here. She established a name for herself in the real estate industry at a time when few women worked in that arena, and she garnered respect over a long career as a closer with a local title insurance company. As one of her favorite Frank Sinatra songs suggested, she always did it her way.
Shirley was respected, admired, and dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
