Shirley Jane Selma Mallinckrodt

Shirley Jane Selma Mallinckrodt of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 69. Cherished daughter of the late Leslie "Les" Arnold and Dorothy Florence Mallinckrodt; devoted mother of Jason (Caryn) Hershbarger, Ginnie (Grant Meredith) Hershbarger, and Jeanette (Gary) O'Neal; loving grandmother of Trevor Hershbarger and Bennett O'Neal; dear sister of Susan(Rick Schriever) Collins and Terry (Brenda) Mallinckrodt; She was a dear aunt, cousin and Godmother.

Shirley earned her Master's Degree and Reading Specialist Certificate and dedicated over a decade to special education, most recently as a passionate and caring teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District. She had a vibrant personality; outgoing, talkative, and always eager to meet new people. Shirley found joy in dancing, spending time outdoors, attending concerts and visiting local wineries. She was a devoted fan of St. Louis sports and never missed an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. She was a devout member of Friedens UCC in St. Charles where she taught Sunday School. Above all, she cherished time with her grandchildren and had a deep love for children, which fueled her lifelong commitment to education. Generous, independent, and hardworking, she instilled these values in her children. Shirley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
