Sheila Britton

Sheila Britton (nee O'Connor), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late William R. Britton; cherished daughter of the late Cain and Julia O'Connor; devoted mother of Robert E. Koenig, AJ (Lori) Koenig, James G. (Jean) Koenig, Mary R. Koenig, step-mother to Vincent R. Britton, David W. Britton, Terry G. Lewis, Stacey J. (Bob) Busch, and the late Brenda Davis; loving grandmother of Kayla Koenig, Brett (Jamie) Koenig, Jeremy Koenig, Jamie Koenig, Hannah Orth, Jessica Collins, and Wesley Uber; treasured great-grandmother of Cameron Koenig and Clark Koenig; dear sister of Thomas P. (Diane) O'Connor, Cain A. (Gayla) O'Connor, Dan J. O'Connor, Catherine A. Koch, Margaret P. Shackelford, Theresa B. King, and the late Mary J. Miller. 

Sheila was a woman of faith and attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. She devoted her life to helping others as a registered nurse and earned her master's degree in the field. She was a very kind and generous person and found the importance of caring for one another.  The most important people in Sheila’s life were her family. She was proud of her children and always supported them in their endeavors.  

Sheila was proud of her Irish heritage and was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. This time of year, the Christmas season, brought so much joy into her life. In honor of Sheila, let’s spread a little of that joy together. Sheila was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
