Fortified by the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Sharon J. Berliner (nee Romero), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 62 years to Rick Berliner; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Ellen Romero; devoted mother of Dave (Bridget) Berliner, Rich (Kim Ronsick) Berliner, and Jeff (Christa Fodde) Berliner; loving grandmother of Mason Berliner, Sawyer Berliner, Eric (Shelby) Berliner, Shane Berliner, Alex (Destiny) Ronsick, Blake Ronsick, Connor (Maggie) Ronsick, Sherri Stankovich, Michael Berliner, Jackson Berliner, and the late Robbie Stankovich; treasured great grandmother of Luca, Oliver, Alice, Ava, Claire, and Ricky; aunt of Michelle Ryan and the late Diana Suarez, and great aunt of Zach, Aaron, and Dori; dear sister of the late Carol Ratliff.
Sharon was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She had a welcoming heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and she treated friends and loved ones alike as family. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories through family gatherings and celebrations that she hosted throughout the years. Sharon also had a special love for her cats and took great joy in caring for them. She took pride in her beautiful and tidy home, a place where everyone felt comfortable, cared for, and loved.
Above all, Sharon will be remembered as a devoted and supportive wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose kindness touched so many lives. She was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Sharon's name to Five Acres Animal Shelter.
