Satsuko “Sue” Doi

Satsuko “Sue” Doi passed away October 15, 2015. She was born on June 30, 1924 in Fresno, CA to Terukichi and Satsuye Doi. Sue is survived by her sister Fusa (Ben) Wakasa; nieces and nephews; Ellen (the late Joe) Younger, Kim Doi, Terry Doi, Mike Doi, and Angie (Tony) Donaldson; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shigeko Doi and Toshiye Doi; brothers, Teruo (Shirley) Doi and Jiro (Judy) Doi.
Sue graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Washington University and she retired from DMAAC. She was an artist and an all-around art enthusiast, who loved painting, drawing, etching, printing, etc. Sue had the privilege of enjoying a long retirement where she spent her time cooking, BBQ-ing, gardening, traveling, swimming, walking and hiking at Creve Coeur Lake, and enjoying life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Zoo or St. Louis Museum of Art.
