Jul 29, 1941 — Aug 15, 2026

Saint Charles, Missouri

Sandra Emma Leonard, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Eugene Leonard; cherished daughter of the late Milton Frederick and Artona Katherine Partenheimer. Dear sister of the late Jean Bunch, the late Fred Partenheimer, and the late Harry Partenheimer.

Sandi and Tom built a beautiful life together working side by side as the original owners of a St. Charles landmark - The Western Lounge and Restaurant and later Leonard’s Meat Company.

Sandi found deep joy in sharing her gifts of art and music with those she loved. She expressed her creativity through painting, pottery, and needlepoint, lovingly creating beautiful pieces and handmade gifts for family and friends. Music was another special part of her life, from playing the organ at church in her younger years to enjoying the piano later in life, often accompanied by her father on violin at family gatherings. Through her creativity, music, and generous spirit, Sandi brought beauty and joy to her friends and family.

Above all else, Sandi cherished her family. She treasured the connections she shared with each member of her family and believed deeply in the importance of staying close and creating lasting memories together. She often expressed this belief with a simple phrase that captured her heart: “Family is everything.” Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world and brought her immeasurable joy. The family’s cherished Fourth of July tradition will forever remain a treasured memory, reflecting the love, togetherness, and sense of family that meant so much to Sandi.

Sandi is survived by her children Robyn (Bret) Middeke and Thomas (Kelly) Leonard; her grandchildren Andy (Brooke) Middeke, Katie (Geoff) Wester, Jacob (Carolina) Leonard, and Erin (Joseph) Marino; her great-children Brody Middeke, Isabella Middeke, Thomas Wester, Emma Wester, Timothy Wester, John Wester, Eleanora Wester, Bennett Marino, and Oliver Leonard. She was also the beloved partner of Joseph "Joe" Vago.

Sandi was steadfast with her generosity to the church and to St. Judes. Please honor her memory with memorials made in her name to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
