Sandra Lee Goldsborough (nee Hoelting), of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the age of 71.
Sandy is survived by her beloved husband, Benjamin Goldsborough; her sons, Adam (Michelle) Goldsborough and Ryan (Sara) Goldsborough; her cherished grandchildren, Owen, Ellie, Clarke, and Josie; her siblings, Roger Hoelting, Nancy Rusbacky, Dennis Holting, and Kris Baker; as well as other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Joan Hoelting.
High-spirited, outgoing, and full of life, Sandy had a natural gift for connecting with people. That spirit served her well throughout her career as a freight sales broker with American Railcar, but it was the conversations and connections she shared with family and friends that she treasured most. Above all, Sandy cherished her family and especially adored her grandchildren.
A devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan, Sandy enjoyed both watching the games and cheering on the Cardinals in person. She generously gave many hours of her time volunteering at St. Peter Catholic Grade School, including helping with the school’s fish fries. She also looked forward to the traditions and festivals of St. Charles, particularly the Festival of the Little Hills, Oktoberfest, and Fourth of July celebrations. Some of her happiest times were spent with family and friends, whether riding motorcycles, enjoying days on the river, or simply sharing good company.
Sandy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
