Samuel S. Shields

Shields, Samuel S., of Allen, Texas, died on Monday, December 15, 2008, at the age of 65. Devoted husband of Barbara E. Shields; dear son of the late Stoney Matthew and the late Lillie Mae Shields; loving father of Charlie G. (Tammy) Guinn, Jr., Robin (Michael) Groene and Matthew J. (Amy) Shields; cherished grandfather of Erica, Brett, Christopher, Beth and Melissa; treasured great-grandfather of 3; dear brother of Vivian (Bob) Moll, Ruth Ellenberg, Elizabeth (Dean) Kenon-McDonough and Dean (Patti) Shields. He is preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Shields. He was an Avionics Engineer for Boeing for 46 years. He was a member of the American Legion and is a U.S. Army Veteran. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Children's Hospital (Cardinal Glennon).
