Ruth G. Thimmig

Thimmig Ruth G., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the age of 91. Loving daughter of the late Walter and Adelaide Doell; dear mother of Sandra (Ray) Lynch; Godmother of Kathy Latimore, cherished friend of Bob and Fay Wehmeyer, Helen Rawlings, and Pam (Donald) Doell; most cherished companion of Don Gemienhart. Ruth is also survived by other dear friends Chris Smith and Donna Schmelig along with their spouses, children and grandchildren, and many more friends who will miss her deeply. Ruth served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Marine Corps League for many years. She was also a charter member of the American Legion Post 404 and charter member of the Women in Military Service. Ruth spent most of her time volunteering at The Airport U.S.O, The St. Peters Senior Center and Salvation Army. Memorials may be made to St. Charles Humane Society; Salvation Army; St. Louis Animal Rescue; or Humane IDAS.
