Hamby, R.T., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the age of 80. Loving husband of Jane Hamby; beloved son of the late Roy Tass and Rhodabelle Hamby; dear brother of David (Linda) Harrell, Betty (Ruben) McCrackin, Kenneth (Brenda) Hamby, Phillip (Juanita) Hamby, Paul (Paula) Hamby, Pat (Ausbin) Barnett; and dear uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his brother Shelby Hamby, and his sister Alice Chapman
R. T. was a Member of The First General Baptist Church of St. Charles, Missouri. He also served as a deacon of the church for approximately 15 years. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service 21 years and 6 months ago.
R.T. enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. They liked to boat and ski at Rend Lake, Clearwater Lake, and Carlyle Lake. He was an avid reader and liked to play jokes on people and have fun. He was a very good compassionate man.
