Ronald Walter Hagen, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age of 77. Loving husband of Carol Hagen; beloved son of the late Walter and Ruth Hagen; devoted father of Heidel (Lee) Tuveson and Lars (Aisha) Hagen; cherished grandfather of Lars (Catie) Tuveson, Britta Tuveson, Annika Hagen, and Gabriel Hagen; dear brother of Norma (Steve) Sultany, Aaron (Kathy) Hagen, David (Mary) Hagen, Donald (Nancy) Hagen, and Beth (Terry) Ryan. Ronald is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ronald is preceded in death by his two sisters, Barbara Karsten and Sara Croonquist; and niece, Annie Hagen.
Ronald received his M.B.A. from Lindenwood, master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from St. Louis University, and his B.S.E.E. degree from University of Minnesota. During his career, Ronald was employed at Waters Company in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by McDonnell Douglas (Conductron), Washington University (Biomedical Computer Lab), and Mallinckrodt Inc. all in the St. Louis area. Ronald was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. He enjoyed music, played instruments, and sang in the choir. Ronald was very practical, handy, and self-sufficient. He enjoyed exercising, the outdoors, doing yardwork, and gardening. Ronald also loved to travel, visiting many places all over the world. He enjoyed following and being involved with politics. Ronald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
