St. Charles, Missouri

Ronald J. Schnare, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the age of 66. Loving husband of the late Robin Schnare for 30+ years before her passing; beloved husband of Karen Schnare for 5 years; cherished son of the late Jerald and Linda Schnare; devoted father of Jacob (Caitlin) Schnare, Brett (Lindsay) Schnare, Adam (Colleen) Schnare, Cam Shearon, Ty (Lindsey) Shearon, Chance (Ashley) Shearon, and Brock (Sierra) Shearon; loving grandfather of Emersyn, Oscar, Peyton, Caidence, Maya, Easton, Logan, Jace, Cade, Graham, Sam, and Quinn; dear brother of Diane (Kevin) Davis; treasured uncle of Breanna (Eric) Norwine, and Eric (Sophia) Davis.

For more than 30 years, Ronnie worked as a skilled mechanic at Pundmann Ford. He also served as a soccer referee for 30+ years. Ronnie loved all sports and enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Blues, the St. Louis Cardinals, and watching football.

Ronnie was a devout Catholic, and a member of St. Cletus Church. He was a true outdoorsman and an exceptional hunter, being a member of Piker’s Hunting and Fishing Club. He loved goose, turkey, dove, duck, and deer hunting and looked forward to every hunting season. He was at home in the woods and fields, enjoying the quiet and challenge that came with the outdoors. Some of his greatest memories were made hunting alongside his sons. Those times together meant the world to him.

Ronnie and his wife enjoyed spending time together hiking and exploring the outdoors. Those peaceful moments together were among the things he cherished most.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his skill as a mechanic, his love of hunting, and the example he set for his sons through the time they shared together. His memory will live on in every hunting season, every trail walked, and every story told by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Memorials may be made in Ronald's name to the Siteman Cancer Center.
