Died May 29, 2007 in O'Fallon, MO. Beloved husband of fifty-nine years to Evelyn Schippers, loving father of Ronald (Betty) Schippers and Paul Schippers of St. Peters, MO, and Dr. Donna (Mark Crowley) Schippers of Perry, Florida. Proud grandfather of Julie, Annie and Jacob Schippers, all of St. Peters, MO. Dear brother of John (Sally) Schippers of California, Norman (Beverly) Schippers of New Mexico and Marlene Dembowski of Ohio. Beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Lena Schippers and one brother, Gerald Schippers and one sister, Norma Raye Schippers. Mr. Schippers was a graduate of Pleasantville, Iowa High School. He served in the Navy in the Second World War. Following the war, he attended college on the G.I. Bill, graduating from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and the University of Iowa School of Physical Therapy. He later graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. He was a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a member of DAV, American Legion and a member of All Saints Church in St. Peters, MO.
