It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald J. Roman, of Winfield, MO. Ron passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 77. Cherished son of the late Joseph and Loneta Roman; devoted father of Jeff Roman, Chris Roman and Tony (Tonya) Roman; loving stepfather of Matthew Martin and Lori Martin; loving grandfather of Sydney & Thomas Roman & Zaylie Vorce; loving step-grandfather of Alex, Zoe, Kyle, Ashleigh, Emma & Madison Martin, and Christie Lucas; step-great-grandfather of Damien, Destini, Korey, Kristopher, and Kolton; dear brother of the late Judith Ann Roman Jennings; beloved uncle and cousin to many.

Graduating from the University of Missouri-Rolla, Ron became a highly respected and successful electrical engineer. He collaborated on projects with companies such as Monsanto, McDonnell Douglas, Anheuser-Busch, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and many others in addition to operating his own design and engineering business. He was truly grateful for all the opportunities afforded to him in his professional life including being named on multiple process and product patents.

As a dedicated father Ron always supported his children, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity and consideration for others. Ron was key in establishing and operating the recreational soccer club that served the Winfield and Foley communities, bringing the opportunities of the sport to hundreds of kids over the many years that he organized, coached and refereed for the organization. In his younger years, Ron had a love for working on and driving hot rods and the mischief that can accompany them. This passion influenced his sons, inspiring the same enthusiasm for do-it-yourself projects and automotive adventures.

Ron had a lifelong passion for music and was an outstanding guitarist, performing countless shows with various bands throughout his life. His talent and dedication brought joy to many through music. Additionally, he was particularly known for sharing his knowledge and skills in support of and as a mentor to other seasoned and aspiring musicians.
