Ron Courtney

Ronald “Ron” E. Courtney, of St Peters, MO, passed on Friday August 18, 2017, at the age of 74. Loving husband of 50 years to Betty A. Courtney; beloved son of the late Howard and Daisy "Cluster" Courtney; devoted father of Mary Coronado, Shirley (Rodney Willman) Burkhart, and Eddie Gregory; cherished grandfather of Jacob (Megan) Cannon, Jennifer Demko, Joseph (Karen Reisinger) Burkhart, and Courtney Gregory; treasured great-grandfather of Blaze, Hadley, Jax Cannon, Courtney Demko, Haley Wittman, Taylor Marcos, Rylee Reisinger, Brianna Burkhart, and Jackson Piel; dear brother of Bobby Courtney; brother-in-law of Paula Courtney; caring uncle of Robby (Cody) Courtney; he is also survived by many other nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Courtney; and two brothers, Fred Courtney and Ray Courtney.

Ron was a member of the Machinist Union as well as First Baptist Church of St. Charles, where he drove the church bus. Ron loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and raised tropical fish, especially angel fish. He loved nothing more than to play and dance with his grandchildren. Ron was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
