Roger Wilson Rhodes, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the age of 81. Beloved son of the late Irene and Woodrow Rhodes; devoted father of Brian K. Rhodes, Kim (Kirk) Bastin, and Susan (J.R.) Wyhs; cherished grandfather of Melissa Hall, Matthew (Katelyn) Rhodes, Amber Bastin, Ashley (Billy) Ross, Travis (Danielle) Bastin, and Jacob (Abbie) Wyhs; treasured great-grandfather of Bailey, Portor, Brian, Owen, Lincoln, Emma, Jack, Ben, Henry, Charlie, Theo, and Wyatt; dear brother of Mike (Barb) Rhodes; and is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Roger dedicated 36 years to Boeing, retiring as a machine repairman. A true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, and shooting matches, especially enjoying annual deer hunting and fishing trips. He also enjoyed playing pool, winning many trophies, playing cards and poker, and riding motorcycles and taking trips with his son and friends.
Roger was a devoted and generous family man who was always willing to help others. He loved westerns (especially Gunsmoke), classic country music including Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr., Elvis, and Alan Jackson, coffee, strawberry shakes, and ice cream. He was rarely seen without his boots, hat and a pocket knife. Roger was a man of honesty, dedication, and had a love for family that will be remembered by all who knew him. Roger was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Roger's name to the Alzheimer's Association and Shriners Children’s.
