Roger Decker, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at the age of 69. Loving husband of Karen Decker; beloved son of the late Albert W. and Lucille (nee Dudley) Dickbernd; devoted father of Steven (Sarah) Decker; cherished grandfather of Zackary & Drew Decker; dear brother of Mary (Michael) Emory; treasured uncle of Scott (Anne) Emory, Kristina Miles, and great uncle of Rachel Emory, and Madalyn Miles. Roger is also preceded in death by his brother, Dudley W. Dickbernd.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roger worked at Newco Enterprises for 15 years before retiring just this year. He liked to fish and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Roger was a very kind and easygoing person. The most important aspect of Roger’s life was his family. He and his wife, Karen, loved to travel and visit family. Roger was a proud grandfather and loved his grandchildren very dearly. Roger was light-heartedly referred to as “Funpa”. Roger was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roger's name to the American Heart Association.
Funeral Services will be private.
