Roger Keith Birlew

Roger K. Birlew, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the age of 73. Roger was born in St. Louis, MO, March 29, 1951, to his parents George E. and Evelyn E. Birlew, who preceded him in death. Roger graduated from Cahokia High School in 1969 and graduated from McKendree College in 1973. 

He is survived by his wife Sandra Birlew (Kulikowski), son Jeffrey Birlew, his partner Andrea Thomas, her children CJ and Chloe, sister Cheryl Mullen, 6 In-laws, 15 Nephews and Nieces, 16 Great Nephews and Nieces and Great-Great Nephews. 

Roger worked at GE Medical Systems in Milwaukee, WI for 20 years and took early retirement in 2011 at which time they moved to Las Vegas, NV for 2 years. He returned to St. Louis, MO in 2013 to be closer to family. 

During his retirement they enjoyed cruising and traveling. Throughout their 51 years of marriage, they were able to enjoy 29 cruises, visiting almost every island in the Caribbean. 

He also enjoyed going to high school football and baseball games with his son Jeff and attending sports activities with CJ and Chloe. 

Memorial services will be held at Baue Funeral Home, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301 on Friday, July 12, 2024. Visitation hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Kidney Fund or American Heart Association.
