Robert E. Wegner Jr.

Robert Wegner Junior, age 83 of St. Charles, MO passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loving family on April 27, 2025. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves and had a long career as a data analyst at the U.S. Postal Service. He sang bass with the Ambassadors of Harmony Barbershop Chorus for over 30 years.

Robert was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 14, 1941. He was a devoted husband to Judy (nee Weidemoyer) Wegner for 40 years. He was a loving father to Tina (Donnie) Klump, Andy (Cindy) Wegner, Kim Nicolini, Jennifer Muschany, and Julie (Tom) Dick. He was the beloved grandfather of Taylor Ann (Taylor) Kroll, Logan (Savanna) Klump, Sofia Nicolini, Sebastian Nicolini, Lilianna Nicolini, Hunter Smith, Tristen (Lauren) Smith, Natalie Wegner, Kaylee Dick, Blake Dick, and great-grandfather to Adalyn Kroll, Dean Kroll, and Charlotte Klump.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Wegner, his brother James Wegner, his daughter Kim Nicolini, and his grandson Hunter Smith.

Robert had a lifelong love of music and passion for singing. His greatest joy was being a grandfather, and he loved attending countless athletic events, dance recitals, and milestone celebrations for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving the Great River Road in Illinois to go eagle spotting and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
