Robert "Bob" Ochs

Robert “Bob” Keith Ochs, of Hillsboro Beach, FL, died Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Kathy Ochs; cherished son of the late Rosemary and Vincent Ochs; dear brother of David (Carol) Ochs and the late Vincent Daniel (Joyce-survives) Ochs; loving uncle of Steven (Aggie) Ochs, Kristen (Scott) Yaden, Jennifer Ochs, and Keely Ochs, and great uncle of Sullivan and Kinsley Yaden.

Bob was married to Kathy for 45 years before her passing. Together they enjoyed traveling and just being together. They were quite inseparable. Bob and Kathy lived part-time in Linn Creek, Missouri, and enjoyed ice cream dates together at Randy’s Frozen Custard eating the specialty, Ozark Turtles. He was a great athlete, excelling in baseball and playing basketball on one of St. Charles High School’s historically best teams under National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Gene Bartow. Bob was a Southeast Missouri State graduate, an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. A proud United States Air Force veteran and captain, Bob served for four years and met his wife while he was stationed in Japan and she was working for the American Red Cross. Bob easily made friends through a marvelous sense of humor. After retiring, he snow-birded between Hillsboro Beach, Florida, and the Lake of the Ozarks, where he hosted family members and many friends, and where he perfected his crappie fishing and fish fry skills. Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church in St. Charles, Missouri at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
