Robert "Bob" Earl Lyle

Robert “Bob” Earl Lyle, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Laura Anne Lyle; cherished son of the late Earl and Margaret Mary Lyle; devoted father of Robert "Jim" James Lyle, and Lori (Scott) Myers; loving grandfather of Katie (Brent) Carter; dear brother of Nancy Quinn; precious uncle.

Working alongside his father from a young age, Bob developed a remarkable set of skills that stayed with him throughout his life. A gifted craftsman, he created beautiful, handcrafted furniture that was as much art as it was functional. As a talented mechanic and master technician, Bob could fix just about anything with an engine, often diagnosing problems simply by listening. He enjoyed target shooting as an exceptional marksman and was a proud member of Trappers of the Starved Rock and the RC Club of St. Charles. Bob also found joy in gardening and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful backyard. He loved fishing and hunting for arrowheads, and spending time with his dog, Harley. Above all, Bob cherished his family, speaking of his children and grandchild with immense pride. Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Bob's name to the American Heart Association.
