Robert L. “Bob” Samsel
September 20, 1931 — February 6, 2016
Samsel, Robert L. “Bob”, of Saint Louis, MO, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the age of 84. Loving husband of Hazel Samsel; beloved son of Fred and Elsie Samsel; devoted father of Debbie (John) Erickson and Doug (Carrie) Samsel; cherished grandfather of Benjamin (Katie) Erickson, Erin Erickson, and Kearen Samsel; and treasured great-grandfather of Elliot Erickson and Gwenevere Erickson. He is preceded in death by his siblings Richard Samsel, Esther Light, and Dorothy Ayres.
Bob was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church and a member of Stephens Ministry. He enjoyed working with children in Sunday School, camps, and mentoring. Bob worked as an engineering draftsman for Cupples Products. He served as a paratrooper in the Korean War. Bob will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Kentucky Mountain Mission or St. Paul's Evangelical Church, memo Children's Ministry.
