In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BJC Hospice. Robert "Bob" Warren, age 72, of St. Charles, Missouri. Asleep in Jesus awaiting Christ's Resurrection. Mr. Warren was born on August 4, 1937 in Downey, CA. After fighting cancer for the last several years, he passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Beloved Son of Laverne Warren and the late William Jess Warren. He is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Warren; sons, Lance, Todd (Vonda), and the late Kirby Warren; seven grandchildren, Kirby Lee, Shaun (Ashley), Ashley, Amber, Austin, Travis and Kayla Warren; father-in-law, Charles Buehler, sister-in-law, Jan (Dick) Sandberg, step-daughter, Charis Weinrich and step-son, Christopher Weinrich; two brothers, Bill (Kathy) Warren and Tom (Arlinda) Warren. He is also survived by Man's Best Friend, "Pen-Pen", many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Warren was a charismatic Christian man, full of compassion and generosity to his family and friends. He never knew a stranger. He grew up in the Sikeston, MO area until his parents bought a farm in Marthasville, MO. He graduated from Washington High School in 1956 where he participated on the track team and cross country team. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and particularly enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren participate in sports throughout the years. Mr. Warren was employed by McDonnell Aircraft after high school, worked in real estate sales for many years, and also owned Show-Me Carpet in St. Charles. He was a member of Kiwanis in St. Charles, St. Charles Real Estate Board for years, and a member of Good Shepherd Church on Elm in St. Charles.
