Robert “Bob” Eubank, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Constance “Connie” Clark Eubank and the cherished son of the late Helen E. and James A. Eubank. Bob was a devoted father to Eric (Karen) Magness-Eubank, Alexis (Gregory) Cunningham and Emily (Michael) Conley.
He is also survived by his siblings, Florence Silvernail and James Eubank; his in-laws, Mary Christine (William) Triola and Stuart (Jacqueline Rinder) Williams; his grandchildren Christopher, Jacob, and Bryce; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy, Jimmy, Enid, Natalie, Marna, and Dawson; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Kathleen Eubank.
Bob was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where he met his wife Connie. Together they built a life together for over 60 years. They moved several times for either the military or his work, including Long Beach, California; Frederick, Maryland; Aliceville, Alabama; and most recently O’Fallon, Missouri. He made lifelong friends at every stop along the way.
Bob served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. Most notably he led missions on a minesweeper patrolling the rivers in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. It was during this time that Bob found God and his ability to put any tough situation into perspective. He also found a way to interject humor to calm those around him.
Bob spent most of his career as a CPA and was an active member in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and other state CPA societies. He also taught several accounting classes at local community colleges. He has served as Rotary Club President and was a member of the VFW and of the FreeMasons. Over the years he volunteered his time in many organizations including Boy Scouts of America, Little League Baseball, and many more.
Bob was a dedicated member of Dardenne Presbyterian Church, including a member of the choir. He had a deep passion for music, singing in many church choirs throughout his life, and found great joy in golf, fishing, and reading. He was a huge Detroit sports fan, especially the Red Wings for whom he was tracking their stats up to a few weeks before he passed. Known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor and warm presence, Bob could light up any room.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to Dardenne Presbyterian Church, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (https://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org) or the Quilts of Valor Foundation (https://www.midmoquiltsofvalor.org).
Memorial Service is planned for May 8th at Dardenne Presbyterian Church; visitation 10-11, service from 11-12, followed by a light lunch.
