Robert Nelson Cox

Robert Nelson Cox, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the age of 97. Loving husband of the late Margaret Ann Cox; beloved son of the late Ruth Kirk and Nelson Cox; devoted father of Ray (Tina) Cox and Janet Melton; cherished grandfather of Jill Italiano, Corrie O'Toole, Sabrina Melton, Tara Kannel, Amanda Melton, Jayne Pietrangelo, Ryan Cox, and Hilary Gamache; treasured great-grandfather of 13. Robert is also preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Cox, and his brother, Gerald D. Cox. 

Robert served his country with pride in the United States Army. He was a dedicated Freemason, a member of Score and Four—a close-knit group of friends—and also joined the Eastern Star alongside his wife. Known as a true "Mr. Fix-It," Robert loved tinkering around the house, always ready to solve any problem. He was also a musician, playing the piano and accordion, and a talented artist who enjoyed painting. He was always up for a game of poker and took pleasure in teaching his grandchildren to play card games. Robert also gave back to his community, volunteering at Boone Center Inc., where his daughter Marilyn worked. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
