Robert “Bob” Roemerman died peacefully Saturday, January 19, 2019. A native St. Louisan and the eldest of six, Bob was born in 1941 to the late Robert Leo and Grace Roemerman. He played on the Hall of Fame-inducted football team at St. Mary's High School and in 1962, married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jo Dannegger.
A proud Billiken, he received his Bachelor's Degree and his MBA from Saint Louis University. An accountant by trade, Bob's career included tenures at Von Hoffman Press and Site Oil Company.
Through over 56 years of marriage, he and Mary raised five children together. He was a dedicated father, coaching many sports teams, watching numerous recitals and taking his family camping and on annual vacations. As Paw Paw to 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, he was a devoted spectator at countless sports games, a favorite babysitter, and the official maker of his world-famous pancakes and chocolate milk.
Remaining active throughout his life, Bob enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and playing softball, but golf was by far his favorite activity. He always enjoyed traveling and spent his retirement taking trips and cruises with Mary and other friends and family members whenever he could.
While he takes this last trip home to his Creator, he is survived by his wife Mary; their children (Steve and Lisa Roemerman, Mike and Etta Roemerman, Dan and Missi Roemerman, Denise and Steve Giuffrida, Tim and Becky Roemerman); grandchildren (Travis Buschmann, Ashley and Zach Roemerman, Jacob and Luke Foster, Grant Roemerman, Julia Roemerman, Luca Giuffrida, Gavin, Colin, Mikayla and Natalie Roemerman); and great-grandchildren (Hayley Buschmann, Landon Roemerman and Benjamin Brown. He also leaves his siblings Denny Roemerman, Christy Nehring, Mark Roemerman, Mary Garavaglia and Joyce Divanbeigi as well as a large extended family and many treasured friends.
