Robert “Bob” K. Apenbrinck, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Linda Apenbrinck; beloved son of the late Alois and Florence Apenbrinck; devoted father of Kimberly (Ralph) Dannegger, and Kelly Apenbrinck; cherished Pops of Taylor (Colin) Knapp, Nicholas Dannegger, and Natalie (Danny) Hohe; treasured great-grandfather of Vincent Robert Hohe; dear brother of Lillian "Sis" Chandler, Janet Oshea, Carolyn "Tudy” Wadlow. Preceded in death by his siblings Jim Apenbrinck, Graham "Duke" Apenbrinck, Edwin "Eddie" Apenbrinck, Kathryn “Kathy" Mertz, and Dorothy "Dottie" Barresi.
Robert was married to the love of his life, Linda, for 61 wonderful years. The two were married on April 3, 1965, and built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. They enjoyed going out to eat, spending time together, and creating lasting moments with their family. Robert especially treasured family outings and vacations.
He dedicated 46 years of service to Schnucks Markets, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature. A man of faith, Robert believed in God and held his family at the center of his life.
Robert never met a stranger. He was kind, welcoming, and always ready to enjoy life. He loved playing softball, bowling, and golfing, as well as card games and yard games. Above all, he simply enjoyed having a good time. He was also a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Memorials may be made in Robert's name to Alzheimer's Association or the ASPCA.
