Rita Wahl

Rita Wahl of St. Charles, Missouri, formerly of Belleville, Illinois, died on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the age of 79. She was the loving wife of the late Fred J. Wahl, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Edward T. and Laura Bretsch; devoted mother of Fred J. Wahl, Jr., Cindy Wahl, and Linda (Ron) Luedloff; cherished grandmother of Larry (Connie) Hull, Ashley Wahl, Andrew Wahl, Timothy Wahl, William Hicks, and Hannah Wahl; treasured great-grandmother of McKenzie Hull and Caleb Hull; and dear sister of Ruth Dale. She is preceded in death by her brother, Edward Bretsch. Rita was employed as a Library Assistant at St. Charles City School District in for 20 years; and was an avid reader and lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Memorial contributions may be made to Stephen Blackhurst Elementary School Library Fund or masses may be made to St. Cletus Catholic Church.
