Rita Veronica Rast

Rita Veronica Rast (nee Robinson), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Jake Rast; cherished daughter of the late Thomas H. and Anna Mary Rose Robinson; devoted mother of Rita Forte, Donna (Len) Cerami, the late Joseph "Chip" Forte, and the late Veronica Forte Nash; Loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 15; dear sister of Barbara McCabe and the late Jean Miller; treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews.  

Rita worked in data processing for Western Auto before transferring to DePaul Hospital where she retired after many years. Rita was an outgoing woman who loved being surrounded by friends and staying active in her community. She was a proud member of the Lions Club and YMCA, a devoted volunteer at St. Cletus, and a Baue Silver and Gold club member. Known as the life of the party, Rita always had a good joke to share and brought joy wherever she went. She enjoyed scratch-offs, crafting, tending to her flower garden, and proudly celebrating her Irish heritage with an Irish jig. Rita had a strong will, love for people, and zest for life. She will be dearly loved and greatly missed by all who knew her
