Mintert, Rita of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the age of 81. Loving wife of Fred Mintert Jr.; beloved daughter of the late Louis and Regina Patterson; devoted mother of Fred (Judy) Mintert III, Karen (Bob) Braznell, Pamela (Donald) Leary, Ann (Brian) Dowd, Ted (Tammy) Mintert, and Julia (Jeff) Heath; cherished grandmother of 21; treasured great-grandmother of 19 with one on the way; dear sister of Jean (Ed) Brinton and Ed (Lucia) Patterson; dear sister-in-law of Rose Mintert Coleman, RoseAnn Morrow, and Rea (Jim) Robinson; special cousin of Kathleen "Babe" and Bill Zvanut; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Peggy (Bob) Artis and her brothers-in-law Joe Mintert and Bill Morrow.
Rita was on the board of Ferguson Parks and Recreation; she worked at The North Hills Dairy in Ferguson, Missouri with her husband Fred where she was the bookkeeper; she also worked at the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission as a Travel Counselor.
