Rita Lovshe, 78, of Foristell, MO, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 4, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, to Lester F. and Louise C. Stephens Reinecke, Rita lived a life filled with joy, compassion, and resilience.
Rita graduated from Cleveland High School in 1965 and was the proud owner of Lab Storage Systems for over 30 years, where her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for business thrived. A strong supporter of the National Society for Histology, she built many friendships in the histology community through numerous conventions she attended. On June 24, 1994, she married Charles M. Lovshe, building a life together filled with love. After sharing over 20 years, he preceded her in passing on November 7, 2009.
A vibrant person with warmth and infectious laughter, Rita loved music, dancing, tending her garden, and animal rescue. Her generous, kindhearted spirit and deeply supportive nature left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Angela (Collins) Adler, son-in-law, Marc Adler, significant other, Steve Kempf, stepdaughters Kristy Arciszewski and Tracy Krause, stepson Gregory Lovshe, and many cherished friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Louise.
A celebration of life will be held on June 7, 2025, from 12 pm to 4 pm at Defiance Ridge Vineyards where she was a member and shared joyful times. Friends and family are invited to honor her vibrant legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anthropedia Foundation or Midwest Doberman Rescue, causes close to Rita’s heart.
Rita cherished the Desiderata, living by its wisdom to “strive to be happy” and to love deeply, a legacy she leaves to us all.
