Colonel (Ret.) Richard Edwin Sharp, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Marlene A. Sharp (nee Ahler); cherished son of the late Jeddie E. and Helen M. Sharp (nee Roe). Devoted father of Richard F. (Kimberly) Sharp and Douglas (Jennifer L.) Sharp; loving grandfather of Colin Sharp and Devon Sharp; brother-in-law of Erna Sharp; 1 niece and 4 nephews; many cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by brother, Sturdy Sharp.

Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force and 131 Tactical Fighter Wing of the Missouri Air National Guard for 32 years. He was a member of the Elk, American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. Richard found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his two cherished passions: golfing and embracing the tranquil beauty of lake life. Richard's greatest source of happiness was derived from the precious moments spent with his beloved family and adoring grandchildren. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
