Richard "Dick" Louis Scotti, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Rita Scotti (née Wessler); devoted father of Lisa (Todd) Elmore, Lynne Scotti, Darren (Jean) Scotti, Tara (Mike) Golden, and the late Susan Scotti. He is the loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and dear twin brother of Joseph (Julie) Scotti.
Born on December 10, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dick is the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Scotti. He graduated from University City High School and, following his service in the United States Navy, went on to work as an electrician for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, where he retired after many years of dedicated service.
Dick lived a full and active life marked by service, skill, and strong community involvement. He was an expert marksman and a member of the National Rifle Association of America, as well as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also involved with American Legion Post 338 and trained in World Tae Kwon Do.
He proudly served in the United States Navy with the "Fighting Tigers" of Patrol Squadron Eight (VP-8) and continued his commitment to public service throughout his life. Dick served as a Special Deputy with the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department, a Reserve Patrolman in St. Peters, a Patrolman in Winfield, Missouri, and later as Chief of Police in Foley, Missouri.
Dick had a deep interest in genealogy and spent countless hours researching his family history. He also enjoyed singing karaoke at Maryland Yards, where he shared laughter and friendship with many.
Dick will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his community, and the many lives he touched along the way.
