Richard "Rich" Burns

Richard “Rich” Burns, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the age of 45. Cherished son of Tammy (the late William) Huber; Rich is also survived by his four-legged son, Storm-mer.

Known by many as Rich, Rick, Richy Rich, Mr. Happy, and Cubby Rich, Rich was a gracious soul who never met a stranger. A 1999 graduate of Hazelwood West High School, he was a devoted Chicago fan and a true sports fanatic. He loved collecting baseball cards, sharing stories and laughs with friends, and cheering on his favorite teams.

Rich dedicated 17 years working as a server at The Pasta House Co., where he built countless friendships and touched many lives with his kindness and sense of humor. He also deeply loved his cat, Storm-mer, who was a special companion to him.

Rich was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In honor of his love for sports, family and friends are invited to wear their favorite sports team jersey when attending the gathering.

Memorials may be made in Rich's name to Humane Society of Missouri.
