Richard E. Hedley

Richard Hedley (90) of Cottleville, Missouri passed away on September 2 with his family by his side. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Shirley (Tanenbaum). He is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Mark Bortfeld) and son, Doug (Meg), his four grandchildren (Karah Bridgeforth (Tim), Jill Vogt (Ryan), Kristen Daniels (Forest) and Ben Hedley (Larissa)), and 10 great-grandchildren (Cayson, Mollie, Weston, Emerson, Ansley, Charlotte, Brooklynn, Avery, Oliver, and Lucas). 

Rich was an Army veteran having enlisted for the Korean war. He was a 50-year member of the International Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union. He and Shirley were members of St. John UCC in Cappeln, Missouri. 

Rich enjoyed the outdoors which included trout fishing and golf. He was an avid woodworker and liked new challenges such as taking up stained glass. Rich made new friends wherever he went. He loved to volunteer and serve others.
