Richard Dean Ebersole

Richard Dean Ebersole, 87, was the loving husband of Virginia Ebersole (nee: Boyer); beloved son of the late Taylor H. and Hallie Hamilton Ebersole; devoted father of David Ebersole, Bill Ebersole, and Jolyn (Wayne) Matthews; cherished grandfather of Zachary, Luke, and Hallie Mitchum; treasured great-grandfather of Riley Mitchum; and is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Felicia Gentemann, Henry Ebersole, Hallie Danuser, and Robert Ebersole. Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He then worked as a Metal Salesman for ASARCO, Allied Metals and Trialco, was a salesman for Oliver Farm Implements, and was a high school teacher and basketball coach in Perry, Missouri. Richard was a Hall of Fame member of the North American Die Casting Association; a member of Beta Theta Pi at Westminster College; a life member of VFW #2866; and a Deacon and Elder at St. Charles Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to the USMC Toys for Tots, St. Charles Presbyterian Church "Upholding Our Vision", or the Alzheimer's Association.
