Richard Edward Bruce

Richard E "Pops" Bruce, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Marcella Bruce; cherished son of the late Emma and Harold Bruce; devoted father of Steven (Barb) Bruce, Robert (Tina) Bruce, Kenneth (Linda) Bruce, Barbara Bruce, the late Kathleen (Mark-living) Hugeback, and the late Ronald Bruce; loving grandfather of Daniel (Heather) Bruce, Mark (Lizette) Bruce, Nicholas (Erin) Hugeback, Melissa (Dustin) Schmidt, Corey (Melanie) Bruce, Justin (Danielle) Bruce, Jordan (Jennifer) Bruce, and Jessica (Richard) Guinn; treasured great grandfather of Carter, Anderson, Rya, Eli, Taylor, Blaze, Blake, Blair, and Drew; dear brother-in-law of Eileen Howard. Richard also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to cherish his memory.

Richard was married to the love of his life, Marcie, for 67 wonderful years, and together they shared a life full of adventure, traveling to 49 states and enjoying countless camping trips. He took great pride in his family and cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and friends. Known for his warm sense of humor and talent for writing poetry as a true country poet, Richard had a positive outlook on life that touched everyone around him. A skilled tinkerer who could fix anything, he enjoyed working on cars in his younger years and passed that knowledge on to his children. He was also an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Richard's name to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
