Reverand John A. Gerber

Beloved husband of Geraldine C. Gerber; loving father of Wayne (Patti) Gerber, Miriam (Bob) Weissberg, Ruth Laak, Lois (Walter) Baxter; dear brother of the late Otto, Robert, and Herman Gerber, Bertha Stautter, Ella Scare, Lillie Stalder; dear brother of Martha Jones; proud grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of twelve. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Louise Gerber. Rev. John Adolph Gerber (formerly of Evansville, IN) was an Associate pastor of Bethel United Church of Christ-S. Garvin. Native of Berne, IN. Graduate of Mission House College and Mission House Seminary-Sheboygan, WI. Served the following churches: Immanuel UCC-Petoskey, MI-Zion UCC, Brutus, MI 1944-46; Bethlehem UCC, Lancaster, WI, 1946-51; Ebenezer UCC , Sheboygan, WI 1951-57; Manager Moon Beach UCC church camp during 1957; St. Paul UCC Barrington, IL 1957-70; Bethel UCC, Evansville, IN 1970. He was a member of Evansville Rotary Club.
