Renate Hughes (nee Heinze), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late Roger Lee Hughes; beloved daughter of the late Willie Heinze; devoted mother of Mike (Sherry) Hillenbrand; cherished grandmother of Matthew Hill, Melissa Kirby, Jessica Kirby, and Desirea (Jacob) Hagelstein; dear sister of Rolf (Brigitte) Heinze. Renate is also preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Kirby and her sister, Jutta (Dane) Edwards.
Renate was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Renate's name to a charity of your choice.
