Raymond Crawford

Raymond Lee Crawford, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Cindy Crawford; cherished son of the late George and Dollie Mae Crawford; devoted father of John (Emily) Crawford; loving grandfather of Reece Crawford and Claire Crawford; Raymond is preceded in death by his siblings, Ted Crawford, Bob Crawford, Ross Crawford, Norman Crawford and Lena Mae Crawford.

Married to the love of his life, Cindy, for 42 years, Raymond cherished every moment they spent together, especially time with their granddaughters and trips to the casino. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for six years before beginning a long and dedicated 45-year career as an engineer with Conrail.

Raymond found joy in life’s simple pleasures; gardening, model trains, puzzles, word searches, and reading. He was also actively involved with the Marine Corps Veterans Association and the Corvette Club, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships he built over the years.

Though quiet and reserved by nature, Raymond was known for his kindness, generosity, and easygoing spirit. He touched the lives of many with his gentle presence and caring heart. Raymond was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
