Randy Dean Miller

June 28, 1958 — April 7, 2026

O'Fallon

Randy Dean Miller was born a simple man on June 28, 1958, in Greenfield, Iowa. His whole life his number one goal was to take care of his family. He was constantly amazed at how his sons grew up to make him proud each and every day.

He had six great loves in his life. His wife of 46 years, his sons, his grandchildren, his siblings, nieces and nephews, his 66 Chevy Pickup, building RC airplanes and flying them, and martial arts.

He loved first, watching his boys, then his grandchildren as they participated in sports, dance and martial arts. He was constantly the loudest in the crowd with his bullhorn, yelling, “It’s Miller Time!”

He enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish and enjoy the water while wearing his sea captain's hat.

With his love of teaching, he raised and instructed his two boys to the level of black belt along with countless members of the community. His dedication to his students and peers earned him the instructor of the year award from the International Taekwondo Association. He also enjoyed carrying on the tradition with his grandchildren up until his passing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie. Sons Joshua (Megan), Adam (Jessie), and 6 grandchildren who were the light of his life, Connor, Patrick, Harper, Avery, Octavia, and Vienna.

Sisters, Sandra Miller, Gale Burdick, Sheryl Killins, Patti Myers, Dixie Kitchen, and Wendy Anderson; brothers, Johnnie Killins, Bob Kitchen, and Bill Anderson.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother and father, Francis Dean Miller and Mary V. Miller (Jones), Father and Mother-in-Law, Virgil Dean Anderson (Virginia) and Rosemarie Anderson. Five brothers, Larry Miller, Jack Miller, Mike Lovejoy, Dennis Lovejoy, Mike Anderson, and one sister, Violet Campbell.
