Mexico, Missouri

Ralph William Stross, of Mexico, MO, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 77. Cherished son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth “Bessie” Stross; devoted father of John W. Stross and Elizabeth Stross; loving grandfather of Jonathan Perkins, Rachel Alspaw and Rebecca Perkins; treasured great-grandfather of Remmington Fitzsimmons and Kamden Perkins, and his grand-pup Zeus; dear brother of Genevieve “Genny” Kennedy, Loreda “Rida” Brown, the late Raymond “Ray” Stross, Jr., the late Clarence Stross, the late Arthur Stross and the late David Stross. 

Ralph honorably and proudly served in the United States Army, was very active with the American Legion Post 312, where he was a lifetime member, bar manager, and a member of the color guard. He was also with the 40/8 for many years and held numerous offices there. He was a dedicated worker at the USPS Post Office in St. Charles, MO. 

Ralph loved visiting and taking care of his family. He was a real jokester and was funny and quick-witted. In his free time, he enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, Kansas City Chiefs Football, Western movies and listening to all kinds of music.  

Ralph was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Ralph's name to American Legion Post 312 or American Cancer Society.
