Ralph "Bruce" Couch

Ralph Bruce Couch, of Defiance, Mo., passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the age of 86. Survived by his life companion of 36 years, Diane Donati; son, Mark (Julie) Couch; Diane's son Vittorio Donati and Diane's granddaughter Sofia Donati; preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Eunice Couch; grandparents, Humbert "Bobo" and Paula "Nana" Couch; Bert and Carrie Hunt; sister Pamela Sue (Bill) Shepardson; brother Bert (Cathy) Couch; cousin Laurie (Randy) Johnson and Julie Couch plus other friends & family.

Bruce loved following sports and played football for Normandy High School. He was an avid reader and great conversationalist. Bruce enjoyed baking and was known for his famous New York cheescakes and eating his Grandmother's fruitcake & his Mother's Christmas cookies. One of his favorite places to travel was to Florida where he loved spending time in the sunshine and listening to the ocean sounds. He enjoyed the outdoors & took great pride in maintaining an immaculate lawn. Bruce was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in Bruce's name to either the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Jude for cancer research.
