Sardar Pritam Singh Bhangu, son of late Sardar Lakha Singh and Sardarni Parsin Kaur, was born on April 6, 1925 in Chandeli, Punjab and passed away on March 17, 2020 in St. Louis, MO. While on this Earth, he had the opportunity to celebrate 75 years of marriage with his wife Gurmit Kaur Bhangu and was looking forward to celebrating his 95th birthday in just a few weeks. He was preceded in death by his son, Gurinder Bhangu; and his parents, Lakha Singh Bhangu and Parsin Kaur Bhangu.
Pritam is survived by his beloved wife, Gurmit Bhangu; his children, Kuldip (Kamaljit) Bhangu, Jugdev (Ranjit) Bhangu, daughter-in-law Hardeep K. (the late Gurinder) Bhangu, Gulbarg (Rajwinder) Bhangu, and Sarbjit (Malkiat) Kooner; his twelve grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and countless other family members across the world. He will be missed every day.
His life revolved around caring for and spending time with his family. He went through many hardships and worked hard day in and day out to ensure that his wife, children, and grandchildren would never lack anything in their lives. He was a true symbol of strength and resilience to his family, peers, and every individual who had the chance to meet him.
Pritam had the honor of being the former president of the Sikh Study Circle of St. Louis. For Pritam, his family was everything and he was proud that his life revolved around them. He cherished the time he spent with this children and grandchildren and was especially happy that he lived to see and play with his great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
