Polly Ann Schulte

Polly Ann Schulte (nee Ell), of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Gerald O. Schulte; cherished daughter of the late Otto W. and Mollie Ell; devoted mother of Mark Schulte, Jerry L. (Katherine) Schulte, Jeanne M. (Roger) Burkemper, Mike W. (Sherry) Schulte, and Julie (John C.) Kurtz; loving grandmother of Tom (Melanie) Miller, Lonni (Joe) Ogden, Brendan (Stephanie) Schulte, Ben Schulte, Cadie Schulte, Christian J. (Allison) Kurtz, Liezl (Austin) Peach, Hazel (Maximos) Hasson, Otto Z. Kurtz, and Oscar Ganeus Kurtz, and loving great-grandmother of Tucker Miller, Conway Miller, Ruby Miller, Ivey Odgen, Oakley Odgen, Chesney Odgen, Clayton Schulte, and Lottie Mae Hasson.

Polly dedicated her life to nursing, starting at Barnes Hospital and later working at DePaul Hospital for the majority of her career until her retirement in 1997. She married Gerald in 1957 and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her beloved family and grandchildren. Polly was a skilled musician in her youth and played the violin, among many other instruments. A compassionate woman and longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church, Polly was always there for her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Polly's name to the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.
