Phyllis E. Mezo

Phyllis E. Mezo (nee Sadler), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the the late Jack Mezo; cherished daughter of the late Felix D. and Edna M. Sadler; devoted mother of Susan (the late Raymond S.) Nash and the late E. David Cattoor; loving grandmother of David Scott Cattoor, William Lee Cattoor, Bree Elizabeth (Tom) Hull, Jared Michael (Anna) Cattoor, and the late Kelly Grant (Kim) Cattoor; treasured great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend. Phyllis was preceded in death by her dear siblings, four brothers, Leon J. Sadler, Felix D. Sadler Jr., George D. Sadler, William J. Sadler, and her sister, Gwendolyn Bare.

Phyllis was a proud and devout member of Assumption Catholic Church - O'Fallon, MO., the VFW Auxiliary Post # 5077 - O'Fallon, MO., and the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary. She was a very loving, kind, and caring person. Known for her loving, kind, and caring nature, she devoted countless hours to volunteering at local nursing homes and the VA hospital. A deeply social woman, Phyllis cherished being around people, with her family and friends holding the most special place in her heart. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
