Philip Edward Hodur

Philip Edward Hodur, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Marcia Hodur; cherished son of the late Violet and Frank Hodur; devoted father of Billy (Cassie Caruthers) Hodur; loving grandfather of Charlie Hodur; dear brother of Marie (the late Jack) LeDuc, and the late Frank (Mary) Hodur; precious uncle of Matt (Jenny) Hinkston, Michael Hinkston, Jimmy (Missy) Baley, Theresa (Jim) Boss, Mary (David) Allen, and Caroline (Jeremy) Erickson.

Philip was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, talented electrical engineer, and a man of many passions. He shared nearly 50 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Marcia. Together, they created a life full of cherished memories, from cruising adventures to enjoying concerts at Riverport. Philip dedicated 45 years of his career to electrical engineering, contributing his skills and expertise at Wurlitzer Organ Co., Emerson Electric, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing. Beyond his profession, Philip was a man of remarkable talent and curiosity. He had a love for music, especially Dixieland jazz, and was musically gifted, playing the trumpet, organ, and cornet. He also delighted family and friends with his magic tricks. He was incredibly handy and resourceful, with a knack for fixing just about anything in the most organized and meticulous way possible. He was a rule-follower. Whether working on cars or tackling household projects, Philip took pride in providing and problem-solving. In his younger days, he found great joy on the golf course. Philip was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Philip's name to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Lung Association.
