Peggy Yu Kirchharr

Peggy Yu Kirchharr (nee Sun Dok Yu) of O’Fallon, MO, age 91, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022.  She was born in Chung Nam, South Korea, on March 3, 1931.  Preceded in death by parents Jae H Yi and Un D Yu.  She was also preceded in death by husband Lovely J. Kirchharr, one brother, Heung Tae Yoo, and four sisters, Heung Yun Yoo, Heung Oak Yoo, Hyu Ja (Yoo) Lamb, and Arleen (To Hwa Yu) Ellis.

Peggy was a devoted mother to Maria (Greg) Maxon, grandmother of Kayla Woodland, Krystal Maxon, and Kandyce (Matthew) Christensen, great-grandmother of Hope, Jaxon, and Elaina Woodland, Braylon Maxon, and Beau Christensen. She was a dear aunt to many, cousin, and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association and Alzheimer's Association.
