Hood, Peggy J., of St. Charles, Missouri, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the age of 78. Dearest wife of Porter Gene Hood; dear daughter of the late Delmar and Emma Ballard; loving mother of Garold D. (Daffany L.) Hood, David G. (Lynda Wimsatt) Hood, Roy L. (Sue) Hood and Ed (Cindy) Hood; dear sister of Donnie (Marty) Ballard; beloved grandmother of April S. Davidson, Jessica M. Hood, Christopher Hood, Brennen Wimsatt, Brittany Wimsatt, Brad Hood, Neale Glass, Victoria Hood, Rebecca Hood, Aimee Hood and Samuel Hood; great-grandmother of Mikel Davidson, Thomas Davidson and Brandon Glass. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister, Ronnie Ballard and Lois Jean Ballard and grandchildren, Melissa Hood and Jamie Glass, great-granddaughter, Rebecca A. Hood. Peggy was a teacher at Monroe Elementary, St. Charles, MO, before her retirement, and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Christian High School, O'Fallon, MO.
