Paul John Grelle

Paul J. Grelle, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 75. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Karon Grelle. He is the cherished son of the late Paul C. and Lucille M. Grelle; devoted father of Mike (Dena) Lira, and Angela (Eric Smith) Lira; loving grandfather of Alicia (Jamie) Reynolds, Hailey (Christian) Bodenschatz, Joshua Janes, Christian (Amber) Lira, Braeleigh (Brenton) Giannakis, and Stacia Marshall; precious great-grandfather of 9; dear brother of Dennis (Marion) Grelle, Ken (Carol) Grelle, Barbara (Ed) Lowes, and sister-in-law Debbie Grelle. He leaves behind a host of family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his great-grandsons, Callum and Asher Lira, and his brother, Francis "Frank" Grelle.

Paul was an honorable man who proudly served in the United States Army from 1969-1970 in the 101^st Airborne Screaming Eagles and fought in the Vietnam War. He was the heart and soul of DROVA. Paul was the long serving president of DROVA and wrote the newspaper for many years. After 42 years of dedicated service, he retired from General Motors. Paul was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
